Broomball has been played in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories since the early 1970's. From the humble beginnings of playing outdoors on the frozen lake to today in our glorious new Arenas. There are two broomball leagues in Yellowknife; Womens and Mixed (co-ed). There is also a Junior boys & girls program. The junior program is a free program for all kids 9-19 and the equipment is provided for the kids.
From these two leagues comes the All-Star Teams - the Yellowknife Ravens and the Yellowknife Rebels. Both teams travel to tournaments around the world to compete against the worlds best. Both teams have captured GOLD at the World Broomball Championships! Way to go teams.
